Who we are
Our Mission is to acquire, remediate, and steward lands along Western New York’s waterfronts prioritizing public access.
What we do
Our primary focus is on advancing three of BNRLT’s strategic goals and actions: Land Acquisition, Land Remediation, and Land Management.
Our team is currently managing five properties and pursuing grants and initiatives to curate a larger inventory of waterfront sites to manage so that they remain clean and well maintained.
Today, BNRLT manages more than 62 acres of waterfront property, including 1660 Niagara Street, the Houghton Conservation Area in Kaisertown, and Cayuga Creek in the Town of Niagara. In the near future, that will increase to 116 acres, as we will also be stewarding the City Ship Canal and Concrete Central.
These sites will be made available to the public, allowing everyone to enjoy WNY’s abundant water resources and view these sites as valuable elements of their neighborhoods.
